Founded in 2024 and officially launched in January 2025, our mission is to bring comfort and hope to children during some of life’s most challenging moments.

My name is Erin, and I began my first responder career as a 9-1-1 Dispatcher—the calm voice in the chaos—before continuing my journey as an Emergency Medical Technician. Experiencing both sides of emergency response has given me a deep understanding of the emotional toll these moments can take.

 

To cope with the stress of the job, I discovered the therapeutic power of crocheting. Whether it’s crafting adorable stuffed animals or cozy blankets, creating with my hands brings me peace and balance amidst the intensity of first responder life.

 

First Responder Plush Co. was born from this personal passion and a desire to give back to the community. We create and donate handmade plush animals and other comforting “stuffies” for first responders to bring along on calls involving children. These small but meaningful gifts provide a sense of security and warmth in times of uncertainty.
